Launch Your Accounting Career with a Paid Internship at Bell & Company
Are you ready to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world accounting?
Bell & Company’s internship program offers hands-on experience, one-on-one mentoring, and a supportive environment designed to help you thrive in your career. Our goal for a successful internship is three-fold:
Provide clarity about your chosen career field;
Broaden your knowledge base with the training and work you will perform; and
Provide an experience you would recommend and/or want to return to.
Interns will gain experience working with firm software to produce work product from bookkeeping to tax returns while working in a supportive environment fostering learning opportunities. They will learn the practical application of what you’ve learned in college coursework and have exposure to client work you may not have even learned about yet.
We offer paid accounting internship opportunities in the Spring, Summer and Fall. Generally, Spring and Fall internships are part time, while Summer internships are full time. All internships are in office. No remote opportunities.

FAQs
Are the internships paid?
Yes! All of our internships are paid. We value your contributions and believe in rewarding your hard work as you gain experience in the accounting field/
What type of work do interns do at Bell & Company?
Every day is different—and that’s part of what makes interning at Bell & Company so rewarding! You might work on payroll, sales tax, bookkeeping, or tax returns all in the same day. Interns get real experience with client work, not just behind-the-scenes tasks. We aim to provide a well-rounded experience that mirrors the variety of tasks you’ll encounter as a full-time staff accountant.
Can I intern during the school year?
Yes! Many of our interns work part-time during the semester and full-time during academic breaks. During the school year, interns are expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, with shifts scheduled in blocks of at least 4 hours to allow for meaningful, uninterrupted work time. We offer flexible scheduling to accommodate your class load and exam schedule.
Do internships lead to full-time positions?
They can! We view internships as a key part of our long-term recruitment strategy and love watching out interns grow into successful team members.
Is there a GPA requirement to apply?
No. While academic performance matters, we’re interested in candidates who have real-life experience and a genuine interest in accounting. That said, we do prefer students who have completed Intermediate Accounting II prior to their internship. It allows you to better connect your coursework with the client work you'll be doing—and gives you a stronger overall experience.
Which office locations offer internships?
Internships are available in our North Little Rock, Conway, and Harrison offices. When applying, please indicate your preferred location, but note that preference does not guarantee placement. Internship assignments depend on business needs, team capacity, and scheduling logistics—but we do our best to accommodate where possible
